This summer, Detroit Lions football players, Theo Riddick and Nevin Lawson dedicated their off season to giving back to Detroit area youth with a free football camp for local high school students.
Beyond the valuable athletic drills, Riddick and Lawson partnered with Men of Courage and Detroit PAL to host a life skills workshop providing exercises to sharpen offensive and defensive skills both on and off the field.
The cornerback and running back duo lead a panel discussion, Q&A session, and training centered on self-esteem, goal setting and overcoming obstacles.

A reoccurring theme that came up with students throughout the day long event was that of self-esteem and overcoming self-doubt – topics which the panel of Detroit Police Officers and Detroit Lions Football Players eagerly addressed.
